Zambian wildlife

A while ago at a birthday gathering someone started a conversation about what brings us joy. My fairly prompt answer was 'sitting on my veranda with a good cup of coffee and looking at the birds'. I've been fortunate both when first living in Kaniki many years ago (on and off from 2004-2016 and now in Mkushi for these past 3+ years to have such pleasant surroundings I can enjoy.

Over the last few days the wildlife has come even closer. On Friday a rhombic night-adder suddenly appeared next to me and proceded to attack a frog. Then today while working in our little office and doing some centre finances a beautiful sunbird flew in through the door and began singing beautifully while perched on top of our fan.

You can see a short video of those here:

Aside from wildlife (including a beautiful kingfisher in our garden the other day👇🏻) life with our new DTS team is going well too. All 15 students are getting on well with each other and growing lots in their knowledge and love of the Lord. It's been great getting to know them over these last 4 weeks and we are now beginning to consider possibilities and where God might be leading us to go on outreach.

It's good to know I can trust the students!!

Thanks for your prayers! Lots of love to you all x 🙌🏻🙏🏻👍🏻😃
