The last couple of weeks have been a welcome change, with my (Tim’s) parents coming to visit Zambia for at least the 10th time since 2005.
While they’ve always come primarily to see us (and the grandkids) they always try to make themselves useful as well. This time, dad helped me make a nice gate to yet again try to keep our dog safe, as well as making an impromptu yet much needed clothes hangar with the leftover wood!
Along with knitting toys (and headbands!?) for Abi and Hannah, Mum also repaired the mosquito net on our door to the gardenππ»and revelled in meeting lots of new and old friends throughout her trip.
It was great to go back to Kaniki and finally show them the now completed Kapumpe Christian Primary Schoolππ». Dad was of course pleased that the electrics he’d put in with a couple of teams from our old church, St Boniface, were all still working well and to see how everything else had developed so well under Naomi’s leadership.
With the power off so frequently now in Zambia and us living so much further out in the sticks, mum and dad did really well to cope with everything, though we all had a few treats in Lusaka before they flew home! π
Huge Lemon Meringue Pie at Mugg & Bean ππ»And enjoying a Fish and Chip Supper at John Dory'sππ»
A few other pics from Mkushi...ππ»Dad ‘hanging around’ and our evening entertainment around the fire pitππ»
We’re heading back to Mkushi today after spending a few extra days relaxing at Lake Kariba. We hope you’ve all had a good Easter too!
With love as always from Tim, Gemma, Abigail and Hannah x

Abi and Hannah, I really miss you and I hope we can phone call soon. I'm really glad you're having a fun time - we did too at Omi and Grandad's house. I hope you have a good day! Lots of love from Emily xxxx
