Smooth arrivals…

We arrived in Zambia at about 9.30am on Friday morning having had a pretty good journey. The only slight niggle had been having to leave a few small things behind in the U.K. because one of our bags was 1.5kg too heavy (but having to abandon some cashew nuts and a hand sewing machine really isn’t the end of the world). We’d also had to leave a few things (like our raincoats) out of our hand luggage as it simply wouldn’t fit, but then it shouldn’t rain til November so I reckon we’ll be ok!

We did wonder how we’d manage getting our 12 huge bags from Ndola airport to Mkushi (as we’d needed 2 cars, 4 adults and 4 luggage trolleys to get us to check in at Heathrow!). But all was fine. As we stepped off the plane we quickly realised all our bags had made it - the entire first load of bags to be taxied to the carousel were ours! And our ‘new’ 35 year old Land-cruiser turned out to be the perfect size to fit everything in and on - so glad it has a big roof rack!

Abi and Hannah were so good on the journey and haven’t complained about anything at all. They travelled well, are trying new food and are already making friends. We know they’ve been lifted up by loads of people in prayer and God seems to be really answering. Tomorrow is their first day of school and again they seem unfazed.

Thanks to you all! X

So good to have your news and see your pics. What a relief that your luggage arrived safely. Will be thinking of you all tomorrow with much prayer as you begin work and school. The girls look great in their new uniforms. So pleased they are already making friends. I loved their Lego video - beautifully done. Love and prayers to you all, Pam
