After our mammoth trip yesterday, today we went to Beulah to start setting up our new home.
In the above photo 👆 you can see our chalet in the middle with the hall and kitchen to the left and then the other student accommodation to the right.
Our place (which is much less of a tent than first planned) is really good! Not only do we have better electricity supply than we expected (meaning we have more sockets plus a fridge and travel kettle we can use) but Judy and Rich have really gone out their way to make our kids room as nice as possible - they love their bunk beds and new mosquito nets, and it’s cool they even each have a little shelf built in so they can keep a torch or book next to them at night.
With a newly assembled fabric wardrobe to hang our clothes (brought from a shop called China Mall that seems to sell all sorts of random things) and most of our stuff seeming to fit snuggly into the chalet, we as parents feel as ready as we can be to start the DTS (Discipleship Training School) on Monday!
Tomorrow morning will be a special church service at Beulah as the centre officially opens. We expect people from all over Mkushi to be there for the celebration and by nightfall all the other students to have arrived - it’s a big day!
We really have no idea what our days will look like from tomorrow until mid November. Once again just to thank you all for your prayers and support so far! 🙏
